Quality Control

I had a load of printed stuff delivered today – mostly, excitingly, the Colouring-in Angels… but I can’t tell you how they’ve come out yet, the delivery is still undergoing quality control by Arthur’s discerning furry bottom….
Arthur would like it pointed out that he is NOT on the kitchen table, Arthur’s bottom isn’t even within 12 inches of the kitchen table…

The Leaning Tower of Arthur

The leaning tower of Arthur

Gentle reader, do not fear for the safety of Arthur: in a blatant abuse of artistic licence I have left out the armchair against which the boxes have come to rest. This is Arthur’s new favourite place from which to watch the football; he is a Sunderland fan, for reasons that are currently unclear.

Goldilocks and the three Boxes

Goldilocks and the Three Boxes, 20th August

Arthur is delighted to announce that his theory on the boxes was correct. They have now matured and are much more accommodating. He feels a bit like goldilocks in the house of the Three Bears, one of them will prove to be a perfect fit. This one, for instance, is looking quite promisingly Arthur-sized.

Arthur Cat, thinking outside the boxes

Thinking outside the boxes, 19th August

Arthur is thinking outside the boxes. He is mildly surprised that none of these particular boxes will accommodate him today but he feels that perhaps they need time to mature, so he is content to sit on the boxes and contemplate geometry until they see fit to be the correct way up.

Arthur Cat thinks Big

Room for Expansion, 9th August

Arthur is experimenting with larger boxes. he feels he should make allowances for growing-space in case he is unexpectedly larger. Two days ago both his front paws were unexpectedly larger to the extent that he appeared to be wearing two orange boxing gloves. This did not seem to concern him much, and he was therefore very put out when he was whisked off to the vets and had a trying day in which humans intervened with a lot of prodding and a sharp pointy injection and wouldn’t let him come home until he had normal paws again. He feels therefore that one should always be prepared for the unexpected: perhaps the humans believed he wouldn’t fit into any boxes with big paws.
Incidentally, Arthur is not revealing what it was that made his paws much too big, we think he may have experimentally stood in some interesting insects.

How to catch a cat, 2nd June

Cat owners will need no explanation of this picture. For those unfamiliar with the nature of cats (and I have met such people) the best explanation I can think of is something I once read:

How to catch a cat:
1. place a box on the floor.
2. wait.

Actually Percy was particularly pleased with himself as he in in fact in two boxes at the same time 🙂
