Original paintings and prints will be for sale, and you are welcome to just pop in and browse. There is a cafe in the gallery which does light lunch and lovely cake!

Two artists capture people’s passions in different ways. Sophie explores the intimate connections between individuals, and between herself and her subjects; Nancy’s drawings tell stories of people connecting with the outside world, with the activity that is their passion.
Both artists put a strong emphasis on the draughtsmanship with which they use to tell their stories. Sophie combines finely observed portraiture with textures, patterns and colours to create highly expressive work. Nancy’s observations are on the humour and camaraderie of outdoor swimmers determined to do what they love in both fair weather and foul.
This is an exhibition about what drives us in different ways, and about two artists driven to document it. There will be much colour and humour.

Meet The Artists:
Saturday 20th August, 11am onwards – come and meet Sophie & Nancy, who will be available to chat about their artwork. Gallery closes at 3pm. Also – on Saturdays 13th & 20th – Nancy only will be in the gallery from 11am – 1pm (or longer if it is busy and you keep her talking)
