Drawing people in the dark last night. The dark was not the difficulty, the difficulty was that people move about so much, especially if you haven’t told them you are drawing them. And then the taxi arrived too soon…
And then I remembered a sketch I did that I never posted, of the rather stunning shop assistant in the Vodafone shop. She was so helpful as to be looking at her customer (my friend), and at her computer screen, for some minutes while I sneakily drew her from behind the ipad display. My friend was quite shocked at the liberty I was taking in just drawing someone without asking, feeling there was probably a law against it or something! Never trust artists…. 😉
