Yesterday at Vobster, getting out of the lake after the last swim of the year. Wave cheerily to the nice frog men in their wetsuits, drysuits, and all their other kit, then make a dash for the changing room before they notice you are too cold* to have a coherent conversation. Water temperature 8 degrees, air temperature around zero, oh yes, this is still fun!
*Actually, and for the benefit of my safety concious friends, this is a liberal exaggeration and the really cold bit doesn’t come till later anyway, once I am safely dressed, but it sounded so much better that way 😉
