Taraxacum Officinale: You think this is just dandelions? This is a plant that you can grow that requires no preparation of the soil whatsoever, that you can eat, that is exceptionally nutritional and high in minerals, and that actually improves the soil while you grow it. Ok, it’s just dandelions, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true 🙂

What a lovely drawing. Dandelions are great – just because they’re common it doesn’t make them any less of an attractive plant. They’re also great for feeding to animals that are unwell because, as you say, they are so nutritious.

Thank you, and yes it is quite true: they are common because they are very successful. Doesn’t mean they aren’t attractive. I grew some pink dandelions once, but they didn’t have the vigour of the proper sort and didn’t make it beyond the first flowering…
